Insulation

July 10, 2014

Insulation installed prior to 1994 was likely to contain formaldehyde in the fiberglass, a carcinogenic by the National Toxicology Program (NTP) with strict limits to exposure recommended by OSHA. Insulation installed prior to 1994 is either glass-wool fiberglass or asbestos. Over time, fiberglass and asbestos insulation settles and core properties disintegrate while also exposing beams, joists and studs to thermal transfer, which is experienced as a cold wall or floor.

MAX Insulation evaluates your home’s requirements and appropriately installs the best insulation solutions from blow in, faced and unfaced batts, foam and basement blankets.
